On Monday 8 July, Aido Chairman, Mr Paul Jones Eganda, embarked on a journey to Ghana.
The week long trip, packed with a busy schedule, that has seen Mr Eganda visit Accra, Kumasi, Ashanti, and Suma, was organised by Aido network, Ghana, managed and Coordinated by Pr. Cynthia Adu Boateng, supported by a great team led by Rev. Dr. Abena Tay.
The trip was planned to launch Aido network, Ghana, to meet key stakeholders in Ghana, and to develop partnerships.
One of the outcomes is a donation of a Toto ambulance by key 2019 AIC sponsor, Bounce, Rap & Sons, and T Cribbs, to the Ghanaian network, who are also in Ghana.
The development embraces the theme of this year’s AIC, Partnership for development, also a key objective of Aido, which we will continue to promote, and encourage members of our network to participate in.
In an interview with Mr Eganda this evening, he said, ‘I am thankful to everyone in the Aido network, and for their kind messages of congratulations.’
He added, ‘I am still overwhelmed with emotions as HRM Odeneho Affram Brempong III made me a Chief, and gave me a stool name ‘ Oheneba (Prince Affram II), Sompahene.’
The King also gave him the historic, ‘Adinkra Award’A Royal award to signify his service to mankind.’
Mr Eganda continued, ‘I am humbled by the Honour, Trust and Responsiblity bestowed upon me by the Kingdom of Suma. As I embrace and promise to uphold my new title, name and position, I thank His Royal Majesty King Affram III, and the all the Chiefs, Queen Mothers and Elders of Suma.’
Mr Eganda also visited King Nana Opoku Amponsen II of Abrankesen of Ashanti state for Opoku.
As we look forward the next development, the Convention on 22 – 25 August, lets continue to be the Change we want, Aidoers, wherever we are.
Ghana will be sending a delegation of 20 people to the Ateker International Convention.
