AIDO Announces the Appointment of New Goodwill Ambassador
October 1, 2025October 2, 2025, London. AIDO Network International has unveiled its 2025 leadership structure, hailed by the Advisory Council as a bold step for Pan-African unity and global advocacy. The Council praised recent progress in tackling human trafficking but strongly urged the creation of a dedicated Reparations Directorate to keep justice and restitution at the forefront.
The new appointments bring together distinguished royals, cultural leaders, and professionals. At the helm is His Highness Dr. Paul Jones Eganda, Chairman of the Board of Directors, supported by HRH Princess Ulrike Pohlman, Chairperson of the AIDO Council. Her Highness Dr Grace Eganda is the Secretary General serving as the chief executive officer, alongside a dynamic team of regional vice presidents, directors, ambassadors, and country representatives.
In its latest session, the Advisory Council reaffirmed reparations as a cornerstone of AIDO’s mission, calling for a dedicated directorate to strengthen global advocacy. It also highlighted human trafficking as a $350–500 billion criminal industry, with Na’ Aibuses Dr. Myrna Belgrave announcing church-led initiatives in Barbados and Dr. Sheikh Ramzy stressing the need for prevention and victim protection. Counsel Clement Seyi urged stronger youth representation and greater grassroots engagement.
Ambassador Ireneo Namboka welcomed AIDO’s direct channels with the Home Office on trafficking, calling it “a breakthrough that places AIDO’s agenda firmly in the corridors of power.” He endorsed a dual approach programmes developed centrally but delivered locally by country representatives and recommended using media and technology to amplify AIDO’s voice. He also urged modest funding for grassroots efforts, noting that “£100 spent in London equals a month’s salary in many African communities,” and called for the Secretariat to prepare educational content to empower local ambassadors.
The Advisory Council expressed confidence in the new leadership, declaring AIDO ready to expand its global influence in cultural diplomacy, reparations, human rights, and restorative justice.
“This is a new dawn for Africa and its diaspora, with AIDO at the forefront of shaping history,” said Dr. Sheikh Ramzy, Vice Chair of the AIDO Governing Council and Director at Oxford University.
