Prof. Chief Emeritus Gershom Williams Ongaria

Prof. Chief Emeritus Gershom Williams Ongaria is the President of the Diaspora African Kingdoms Alliance Inc (DAKA).  A cultural Historian, Teacher, Bibliophile and a pan African activist.  A professor of African American and United States history at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona.
 
He taught at the Maricopa Community College District for 20 years, a founding member of the East Valley Kwanzaa Committee, and  a co-founder of The Bennu Institute of Arizona.
 
He attended Indiana University where he majored in African American Studies and Sociology. He also served as the president of the African American Historical and Genealogical Society in Arizona.  He has many publication to his name including the famous Essays, the Journal of African Civilizations, The Journal of Pan African Studies (print and electronic), Odyssey West Magazine, and The Desert riot. The Journal of Pan African Studies, vol.7, no.2, August 2014.    Prof. Chief Gershom Williams is now retired has dedicated his life to serve his people, he is the current president of the Diaspora African Kingdoms Alliance, pan African Organisation  promoting  African unification through African Culture and Heritage.
