Ghana Convention Report
AIDO ANNUAL CONVENTION, ACCRA GHANA 27 – 31 OCTOBER, 2021
After a lengthy preparatory period under numerous uncertainties caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, AIDO Network International was nevertheless able to bring together Kings and Queens, government ministers, business people, entrepreneurs, investors and cultural promoters, as well as scores of enthusiasts from the general public from Ghana and the neighbouring countries.
Against the considerable economic and health constraints of the time, Aido’s Annual Convention – 2021, held in Accra, Ghana, was a resounding success.
It is only fitting to begin the tale of the successful Convention by praising the extraordinary, typically African welcome tradition by the people and Government of Ghana, which attendees enjoyed right from their arrival to the very end of the Convention. Akwaaba was first heard as the warm greeting and then worn by everyone. This traditional greeting set the mood everywhere for success to follow.
Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister/East African Community Minister, Rebecca A. Kadaga at Kotoka Airport welcomed by Dr Rev. Abena Tey, Chair, AIDO Ghana (right) and Ambassador Ireneo. O. Namboka AIDO International Vice President Honourable First Prime Minister, Dr Rebecca Kadaga who also holds the portfolio of Minister for East African Community Affairs. Honourable Dr Kadaga was accompanied by four delegates.
The courtesies extended to AIDO’s guests from Uganda, extending over the entire period, is indelibly inscribed in our history.
