Aido Reaching out to Local Communities
Aloto Oree Project, was hatched by Aido to encourage people from African heritage in the diaspora to do more about helping their communities in Uganda by giving support to village Schools, Health centres and promoting Tourism in the region.
This Campaign was led by the UK Beauty Queen, Miss Uganda UK 2018/2019, Miss Penni Wampamba. Miss Elma Challa Kapel, the Aido Uganda Country representative who is also the Ateker Tourism Ambassador hosted the team and they managed touch lives along the journey.
They were able to visit and document some of the most exciting Tourism attractions and places in Kidepo Valley Game park. They made a stopover at Adere Safari Lodge, which is one of the best holidays resorts inside the Park.
They also visited the game reserve and a schools in Nakapirirt in Karamoja, where several items donated by Karamoja Comunity UK Foundation(KCUK), were distributed to the rural community women in their Manyattas.
In Teso region they visited Bukedea Comprehensive Academy, a model technical school imparting life changing vocational skills to young people in the region. Other places visited include Serere Health Centre which had a dilapidated women delivery ward and Olio Primary School in the district.
They also visited the Ateker Cultural leader His Highness Papa Emorimor, Who treated Aido team to aroyal dinner.
