A Royal Renaissance: African and Diaspora Monarchs Unite in Teso for the Second Anniversary of Iteso King, Paul Sande Emolot, Emorimor Papa Iteso

A landmark celebration is set to take place on October 22nd in Katakwi, Teso, as a distinguished delegation of African kings and queens, along with their diaspora counterparts, gathers to mark the second anniversary of His Highness Paul Sande Emolot, the Paramount Chief of the Iteso, also known as Emorimor Papa Iteso. This monumental event will also bring together the Ateker clusters from across Karamoja, Masaii, Nyantom and Toposa the cradle land.

Thanks to the initiatives of Ateker International Development Organisation (AIDO) , the celebration aims to fortify cultural connections, enhance tourism, and ignite investment opportunities across Africa and the diaspora.

This prestigious royal assembly will feature an esteemed lineup of monarchs and leaders, including:

  • His Majesty Dr. Makorani-O-Mungase VII of Pokomo
  • Her Majesty Queen Vickylaxtar of Omanye, Ghana
  • Her Majesty Queen Cynthia Phuna Mzilikazi III South Africa
  • HRH Queen Dr. Hilary Brown Acom II, of the Diaspora Kingdom
  • His Majesty King Alhaji Bashir the Toro Bade, Fulani, Nigeria
  • Princess Ulrike Pohlmannof Germany
  • and His Majesty King Dr. Robinson Tanyi of Tino Mbu Cameroon
  • to mention but a few

In total, a delegation of 38 prominent figures, led by the Global President of AIDO and the Head of Global African Diaspora Kingdom (GADK) His Highness Paul Jones Eganda I, is expected to attend.

This historic gathering is a powerful testament to the shared heritage, cultural pride, and ancestral ties that continue to unite African people worldwide. The presence of these monarchs reflects a strong commitment to fostering unity, collaboration, and cultural exchange across continents.

AIDO’s pivotal role in organizing this event—and similar global initiatives—has created an essential platform for dialogue on economic cooperation, trade, and development. The anniversary not only celebrates Africa’s rich cultural legacy but also highlights the vast potential for tourism and foreign investment, positioning Teso as a key destination for economic and cultural growth.

With the leadership of HRH Paul Sande Emolot and the collective influence of these global monarchs, the Iteso Cultural Union (ICU) is setting the stage for a brighter future. Emorimor is currently in South Africa to participate in the Heritage day celebrations.
