January 16, 2025As the Buruuli Kingdom commemorates the 20th enthronement anniversary of His Majesty Isabaruuli Constantine Mwogezi Butamanya, Aido Network International joins the celebration in solidarity and recognition of his remarkable leadership.
Over two decades, His Majesty has exemplified resilience and vision, advocating for cultural preservation, community empowerment, and equitable development for his people.
His Highness Papa Paul Jones Eganda, Head of the Aido Royal Community and Chairman of the Global African Diaspora Kingdoms, has sent a high-level delegation to represent AIDO and the Diaspora Kingdom at this momentous event.
In his message, HH. Papa Eganda stated:
“His Majesty Isabaruuli Constantine Mwogezi Butamanya’s 20 years on the throne represent an enduring legacy of cultural pride, unity, and progress. His leadership reflects the values we hold dear in the Aido Royal Community—preserving heritage while advancing the well-being of our people. Today, we celebrate not only a remarkable king but also a resilient community that inspires us all to remain steadfast in our shared vision of global cultural diplomacy and justice.”
On this auspicious occasion, Papa Eganda also announced that the Buruuli Kingdom has formally been accepted to join the Aido Royal Community, alongside the Kingdoms of Machina in Yobe Nigeria and the Kingdom of Kuman of Uganda. This partnership integrates these traditional institutions into Aido’s global network, offering access to its extensive resources and initiatives aimed at cultural restoration, capacity-building, and international advocacy.
Aido’s Royal Community continues to grow, uniting kingdoms and cultural institutions from across Africa and the Diaspora. By joining this esteemed network, the Buruuli Kingdom is set to benefit from Aido’s programs, including support for cultural diplomacy, heritage restoration, and socio-economic development.
“With the inclusion of Buruuli Kingdom, Machina Kingdom, and Kuman cultural institution, our shared mission grows stronger,”His Highness Eganda remarked.
“Together, we can amplify the voices of our communities, advance justice for historical injustices, and build bridges between Africa and its Diaspora for a brighter future.”
The festivities in Nakasongola are a tribute to His Majesty Isabaruuli’s unwavering dedication. His advocacy for land rights, institutional development, and the welfare of his subjects continues to shape a thriving and united Buruuli Kingdom. The event also marks a new chapter as the kingdom embraces its role within the global Aido community.
As Aido Network celebrates this milestone with the people of Buruuli, it reaffirms its commitment to advancing unity, heritage, and progress across Africa and her Diaspora.
